Rig welders also construct pipes, bond metals to create beams, vessels, and pipes, and ensure the proper use, maintenance, and storage of welding equipment.

Line boring, also known as align boring, are a term used to describe the machining process of an engine. Here it is important to create perfectly straight and aligned holes. These are used for camshaft housings, also known as saddles and tunnels, and crankshafts.
